ABOUT...
I have been offering professional freelance photography, commercial and advertising and editorial portraits for over 15 years. Being a photographer has enabled exploring so many interesting places, and being in situations I’d never normally get access to. Meeting people and hearing their stories is a total privilege which I am very grateful for, I think this is why I enjoy photographing people more than anything else.
I am incredibly fortunate to have an endlessly supportive wife and three amazing sons, and to be living in a beautiful part of the Norfolk Broads. Family is everything, I’m beyond lucky.
I studied business at university and then went on to work in advertising and online marketing for a national creative agency for several years. By working in the industry gave me key insights into delivering campaigns, as well as working side by side with Art Directors and Creative Directors from the start. Over the years I have maintained strong relationships with agencies, as well as still working closely with a production company for moving images.
Online I’m mostly found on Instagram @chrisridleyphoto and on twitter @thechrisridley - come and say hi.
I’m based in Norwich, Norfolk, UK - but distance is never a problem.
